Alongside Jeremy Tubongbanua, we developed a project called Split and presented it at the 2023 Ontario Tech University DemoFest
Split utilizes distributed systems where computational resources from multiple devices given by a service provider (schools, libraries, etc,.) are provided to customers in need of high performing computational power (researchers, cryptominers, etc). The product is a daemon that runs on each edge device and completes a portion of the job. The environmental impact of data centers, cryptomining farms would lessen due to old and unused devices being recycled with the potential to generate revenue.
Split was presented at the 2023 Ontario Tech Demofest where angel investors, engineers, and various industry leaders were searching for their next startup investment.
